Take Your Potjie Pot Wherever Adventure Leads

There’s something special about preparing a traditional potjie over an open fire after a long day of exploring.

Whether you’re cooking for family and friends at a campsite or enjoying a meal in the middle of the bush, a potjie pot is a favourite piece of outdoor cooking equipment.

However, its bulky shape and weight can make it difficult to pack efficiently.

The Front Runner Potjie Pot Carrier offers a convenient solution by providing a dedicated mounting position for your potjie pot.

Instead of taking up space inside your vehicle or packing it loosely among your camping equipment, you can secure it to a compatible roof rack and keep your vehicle’s interior better organised.

The Front Runner Potjie Pot Carrier is designed for adventure enthusiasts who want to bring their favourite cooking equipment along without sacrificing valuable packing space.

• Weekend camping trips.
• 4×4 adventures.

• Remote campsite adventures.

Whether you’re heading into the bush or exploring a new destination, this carrier helps make transporting your potjie pot more convenient.

Secure Mounting for Off-Road Travel

Off-road driving can expose vehicle accessories to vibration, sudden movement and uneven terrain.

A heavy potjie pot must be properly secured to prevent it from shifting during travel.

The Front Runner Potjie Pot Carrier features a sturdy mounting bracket designed to support a compatible potjie pot.

Its adjustable retaining strap and ratchet-style fastening mechanism help keep the potjie pot securely positioned within the carrier.

When correctly installed and tightened, the securing system helps reduce unwanted movement during normal driving and suitable off-road conditions.

For safety, always check that the potjie pot is firmly secured before travelling and inspect the retaining strap regularly during longer journeys.

Heavy-Duty Construction for Demanding Adventures

Camping and overlanding equipment needs to withstand regular use, outdoor conditions and frequent packing and unpacking.

The Front Runner Potjie Pot Carrier features a durable metal construction designed for practical vehicle-mounted storage.

Its shaped support bracket provides a dedicated resting position for the potjie pot, while the retaining system helps keep it in place.

The black finish complements Front Runner roof racks and other 4×4 accessories, creating a neat and functional addition to your vehicle’s adventure setup.

Free Up Valuable Vehicle Storage Space

Packing a 4×4 for a camping trip often means making the most of every available centimetre.

Between tents, chairs, recovery equipment, cooking accessories, luggage and food supplies, storage space can quickly become limited.

A potjie pot is particularly awkward to pack because of its round shape, legs and weight.

The Front Runner Potjie Pot Carrier helps solve this problem by allowing you to transport a compatible potjie pot externally.

This frees up interior space for other important equipment, including:

• Camping chairs and tables.
• Cooking utensils and kitchen accessories.
• Recovery equipment.
• Tools and maintenance supplies.
• Food and camping essentials.
• Luggage and personal belongings.

For vehicles with limited interior storage, a dedicated roof rack mounting solution can make packing significantly easier.

A Practical Addition to Your Outdoor Cooking Setup

A well-equipped camping vehicle should make it easy to transport and access the equipment you use most.

The Front Runner Potjie Pot Carrier allows you to keep your potjie pot in a designated position, making it easier to organise your camping setup.

When you arrive at your destination, simply release the retaining strap and remove the potjie pot according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Once your potjie pot has been cleaned and completely cooled after cooking, it can be secured back into the carrier for transport.

Important: Never place a hot potjie pot into the carrier. Allow it to cool completely before securing it for travel.

Important Roof Rack and Weight Considerations

Traditional cast-iron potjie pots can be heavy, and their weight must be considered when mounting them to a vehicle roof rack.

Before installation:

• Confirm compatibility with your specific Front Runner roof rack.
• Verify that your potjie pot fits the carrier correctly.
• Check the manufacturer’s approved potjie pot size and weight limits.
• Ensure the carrier is installed using the correct mounting hardware.
• Confirm that the combined weight of the carrier, potjie pot and other roof-mounted accessories remains within the permitted roof rack and vehicle roof load limits.
• Ensure the retaining strap is properly tightened before driving.
• Regularly inspect the mounting brackets, fasteners and retaining strap.
• Do not transport loose cooking equipment inside the potjie pot unless specifically permitted by the manufacturer.

Remember that carrying additional weight on a vehicle’s roof can affect its centre of gravity and handling, particularly during cornering and off-road driving.
